Art Museums: Show Us Your Shit!
On Monday I was in the print/archive room of Houston’s Museum of Fine Arts (the 4th largest museum in the country), looking over some of the greatest photographs ever taken (there was work by Avedon, Maplethorpe, Man Ray, Irving Penn, etc); yet none of them were on public display. Photographer Spotlight: Peter Lindbergh
Normally when I do one of these “photographer spotlights”, I try to provide a rough overview of the photographers work. This time however, I would like to specifically focus on Peter Lindbergh’s “Movie Stills” photoshoot, which is based off Martin Scorsese’s 1975 motion picture “Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore.”
