Pocket Camera Retro Wednesday #1

I hate pocket cameras. I hate Merkley??? I hate the tediously generic (TG) look of the majority of photography circulating the web right now. I hate pocket cameras.  I was gifted a pocket camera for Christmas. So, while driving home today and thinking of how Friedlander (look him up if you aren’t following along) was essentially a digital Flickr photography whore who just happened to use a film camera, I came upon the idea of “Pocket Camera Retro Wednesdays (-TG).” What better use of my free time then to perpetuate the very things I dislike… At least it seemed logical at the time. And all joking aside, it’s actually kind of fun.

Pocket Camera Retro Wednesday #1

The basics:

  • Every Wednesday I will post a new set (with all new, recently shot images).
  • All images will be done in a tediously generic way and tediously retro-ized.
  • I will actually try to take nice pictures, despite my sarcasm.
  • I will never NOT retro-ize the photo.
  • I will take this seriously while at the same time taking it completely not seriously.

Now! This weeks set was all taken today on my way home from Austin, Tx (traveling down 290). Enjoy, or don’t… Either way I win. I’ll probably try to get eastcoast (the other touchpuppet) to participate considering that she has her own pocket camera. Maybe we will even branch out to Tediously Generic Diana/Holga Photo Fridays since we both have Dianas… And I have access to a darkroom + scanner.
