American Apparel Goes Nude
Since its beginnings, American Apparel’s ads, often shot by CEO Dov Charney, have oft flirted with the idea of nakedness—very very young girls revealing their impressive flexibility in leotards, exulting the return of Short Shorts, or occupying second-hand couches wearing panties, come-hither looks, and little else. Somehow, Charney’s ads, which double as cheeky send ups of exploitation chic and clear examples of actual exploitation, have become targets for post-Feminist love and ire. First up was his “Smile” reception at GARAGEWORKS [...]

Garance Dore
Garance Dore is an illustrator-photographer-blogger who runs the self-titled blog Garance Dore. I’ve loved her illustrations and photos since the first time I saw them and now that her site is being translated into English, her writing is just as charming.
As a related note, when do we get the real and final answer on why French girls are so ridiculously perfect?
Durex – Get It On
This is too funny.
UPDATE: Well, Vimeo apparently pulled the video… But never fear, as I managed to find it on YouTube. Not sure how long it’ll stay up there, so enjoy it while you can. Also, there are some “outtakes” from this video that you can view here.
