I’ve been wanting to do a post on South African photographer Henrik Purienne for a few days now. So, to my surprise this morning, I wake up and see that TRENDLAND has beat me to the punch. Can’t rest on your laurels, or so they say. The line in the images is from Purienne’s website, which is the only place to see his work, and consequently the only place to steal images from. The line isn’t in the real photos.

Emma Summerton is a fashion photographer who has shot for basically everyone: 10, Agent Provocateur, Arena, Big, Dazed & Confused, Nylon, Ryoko Tsushin, Self Service, Strenesse, Terry De Havilland, Vogue, Yves Saint Laurent, et al. Her photographs use a lovely combination of color and texture to create an almost palatable ambiance. 
Her works also have a rather Cindy Sherman like video quality about them, as you’ll see in the photograph after the jump.

Jesse Auersalo is graphic artist and illustrator from Finland. As a freelance designer he has worked with magazines like Grafik, Odd At Large, Kasino A4, Image, Muoto, Veli, Hufvudstadsbladet, Happi, Kerho and Nöjesguiden. Jesse was recently part of the Night On Earth show which held exhibitions in Berlin, Shanghai and Helsinki.

It’s another lazy Sunday. Watch this video by MGMT then go outside and pull some weeds. Follow that up with a shower and three hours of watching nothing on tv; NAP. After the nap, conjure up the courage to go get dinner from your favorite eatery. Finish the night off with a bath and a few beers.

Bren Bataclan’s cheerful cartoon creatures have been exhibited in some high places: at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, in Logan International Airport and even on a Girl Scout patch.
But lately he’s been leaving his artwork outside unemployment offices and closed-down retail stores across the country bearing the note: “Everything is Going to Be Alright – This Painting is Yours to Take.”
