NOT BANKSY Collection
I’m a huge fan of subversion. If you don’t believe me, check out my Cudora Project (complete with intentional spelling errors). So it was to my great amusement when I came across the Thieving Talentless Cunts website and their NOT BANKSY project. Basically, the idea was “devised to annoy people who admire the great master and/or give them something to chuckle about.” And the best thing about subversion? These artworks could very well be the work of Banksy himself, despite the numerous warnings telling us otherwise.
To make it quite clear that these are by NOT BANKSY and NOT by BANKSY, the new stencil works come with original fake Pest Control Certificates of Authenticity declaring them to be authentic NOT BANKSY artworks and are NOT by BANKSY at all.
So, whoever made them, or didn’t make them, I still find them terribly entertaining. And if Banksy really didn’t make them, I bet he’s kicking himself for not coming up with the idea first. As a bonus, they even call Damien Hirst a cunt; bravo child of mind!
