Banksy’s much anticipated “Summer Show” in his hometown of Bristol has now been unveiled (officially opening June 13, 2009), and I am actually very impressed. He has done what so many other artists have failed to do when presented with the spotlight; he has matured as an artist while at the same time maintained the essential quality and poignancy of his early works that garnered him so much praise. I really think this show will cement Banksy’s place amongst the great 21st century artists. Well done.
