I promised before I left for Tokyo that we would start featuring some of our talented readers in a weekly Reader Talent series. Well, this is that feature. I’ve just finished going over all of the submissions and I am very impressed with the level of talent out there. If you want to get in on the next installment of Reader Talent, just send us an email at [email protected] with the subject “reader talent” and 1 to 2 images with at least a 600px width and little information about yourself.
View the full feature after the jump.

Alex Solmssen

I’m Alex Solmssen, my label, FotonovaNYC. I’m working in a fine art vein within the commercial world, trying to see to shoot to be as a vision of a lifelong pursuit of artist’s realization of a body of work, no matter whether shooting the frog or the prince. I believe in photography, and I want to be changed by it. How the room feels is how I want to preserve it, so for me though I am ‘allowed’ to manipulate the setting, the model, or the print, there is always the element of truth. I think people can feel that, and it is that little piece of authenticity that they find like a little hidden gem in every picture.
Milana Braslavsky
My name is Milana Braslavsky.
I live in Baltimore, I take pictures, and I make jokes.
Dimitris Amvrazis
My name is Dimitris Amvrazis, and I’m 27. I started working with Photogrpahy while at university. I am an Art Historian and photographer, along with Painting, Sculpture and Engraving where some of my lessons. Most of my photos are taken in my city, Larissa, Greece. My main subject is the modern cityscape and the aesthetics of the modern man in our cities, in a built environent. I am interested to show the envirionment we live in, the images we see, the images we are so used to seeing that we don’t really see, the little “realities” we miss in our modern cities and with our modern way of life.
Pietro Chelli

Hello! My name is Pietro Chelli and I am an italian based photographer (soon in new york!). I haven’t studied photography but have always been passionate about it and doing it for over 15 years. I love colours and the ironic side of life, as well as odd behaviours and habits we all, as human beings have. These images belong to a project on the italians typical behaviours during summer. They spy others on the beach, they dress up to be watched, oil themselves and typically pose in the sun like they were in a fashion shoot, instead of really relaxing like someone on holiday!
