For years we have been dissatisfied with the large expensive art history textbook. We found that they were difficult for many students, contained too many images, and just were not particularly engaging. In addition, we had found the web resources developed by publishers to be woefully uncreative. At TOUCHPUPPET we aren’t only concerned with visual BRAINAESTHETICS, we are also concerned with mental BRAINAESTHETICS (we are however, much less concerned with redundancy). In this case, Professor Michael Persinger discusses the affects of psychotropic drugs and generated neuro-realities. It’s basically an hour long and I strongly suggest you watch it when you actually have the time.
One of the interesting topics he discusses is the physical affects of creativity and how people like artists and muscians are actually in a state of being “naturally high” during their creative processes.

I’ve been looking for a good news aggregator for awhile now. I’ve tried Google Reader and BlogLines, but aesthetically (and organizationally) they both just really annoyed me. So randomly today I came across a new site called IndividUrls, which does feed aggregation in a much more minimalistic and visually appealing manner.
