We love Mos Def and we love Japan, so this makes us very happy.
Mos Def made his way across Japan in March with two Current Music producers in tow. In the streets of Osaka, he busted out an a capella version of “Casa Bey,” the first single off his much anticipated album, The Ecstatic, out June 9 from Downtown Records.
This is the most amazing thing I’ve seen in awhile. Absolutely beautiful photographs of abandoned places in Japan (amusement parks, coal mines, train stations, and even entire communities), all shot by Japanese photographer Shibakouen Hamutarou.
