The ATLAS Gallery is having an amazing Polaroid exhibition through October 9 – November 28. The October 9th 2009 exhibition will see the final “Use by” or expiration date of the last batch of Polaroid film manufactured. The opening reception will coincide with Polaroid film’s final date of expiration. However, considering the recent rival of the Polaroid format, I suppose this exhibition has lost some of its original meaning. Regardless of that, it is still a very impressive exhibiton featuring some of my favorite artists and photographers, including (but not limited to): Ansel Adams,

Nobuyoshi Araki (Araki Nobuyoshi) is a Japanese photographer and contemporary artist. He is also known by the nickname Arākī. He has published over 350 books and is widely considered to be one of the most prolific artists alive or dead in the world.
